Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer to support Phantom Works in Kent, WA.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals, program processes, and documentation.
  • Provide interpretation of complex requirements.
  • Develop quality metrics, design, and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Boeing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
  • Lead various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Develop and select methods for analysis, testing, and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Assist in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Work under minimal direction.


In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Kent, WA.
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science ore related field.
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a Software Quality role.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality processes.
  • Experience with new development programs.


Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range for senior: $116,450 - $157,550.
