The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Air Quality Engineer to join the team in Tukwila, WA.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development, implementation and administration of environmental management systems, processes and programs, including regulatory compliance assurance for federal air operating permit programs (Title V) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP)
  • Leads and develops compliance reviews of internal processes and practices
  • Acts as a focal for environmental emergency response activities
  • Evaluates facility conditions and recommends alternatives
  • Leads collaborate with regulatory agencies


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Tukwila, WA and travel to local additional Boeing facilities.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental programs, spill procedures, air quality, and/or water quality
  • 3+ years of experience with regulatory agencies procedures and processes


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with environmental engineering specifically in environmental air quality compliance
  • Experience working with Aerospace NESHAP and local air permitting agencies


Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
