Who we are:

Alo Moves is a platform where people can build their physical and mental practices in yoga, fitness, learn new skills (e.g. handstands), meditation, etc. by accessing highest-quality instructional videos on the market and tapping into a rich, vibrant community of other practitioners and teachers. We were one of the first to market to bring high-quality yoga instructions videos via cloud services as Cody. Now we’ve merged with Alo Yoga to increase our velocity, expand our reach, and continue to iterate on what it means to move mindfully using technology.

We’re currently growing our team and looking for a Senior Tech Lead that is passionate about development and excited about leading projects.

What you'll do:

• Own functional areas and drive technical execution on projects such as improving payment/billing systems, optimizing performance metrics, and researching internal (custom) and external (integration) solutions
• Design systems and drive projects which require multiple software engineers
• Scope projects, break down into consumable tasks, and drive team sprint planning
• Improve engineering processes to increase team effectiveness
• Mentor junior developers and lead the team
• Work with cross-functional partners (product, design, etc.) to evaluate functional requirements

What we're looking for:

• Real passion for understanding key business problems and opportunities, and for setting and driving towards measurable goals
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience in building sustainably for scale (e.g. well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms, etc.)
• Ability to break down and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
