  • Possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
  • Proficiency deploying and operating large scale distributed systems and production troubleshooting.
  • Passion for implementing monitoring and alerting to facilitate an on-call engineering culture.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting a SaaS product in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience running production systems on Kubernetes.
  • Deep expertise curating telemetry, logging, and metrics for a customer facing application.
  • Deployed containerization strategies using Docker and have mastered AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation).
  • Experience using deployment automation/configuration management tools such as Terraform/Helm
  • Experience with functional or imperative programming languages (PHP, Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java).
  • Show organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, commitment for results, and written and verbal communications.

We offer:

  • We value diversity and strive to create an environment where everyone can feel safe, valued, empowered, and connected.
  • A fun, flexible, and lively startup culture in one of Seattle's coolest offices, with waterfront view.

  • Our award-winning culture stems from having a core set of values that are lived daily from the top down. This includes hackathons to showcase innovation, lots of service opportunities to serve our surrounding community, and fun collaborative events to connect with executives and peers.
  • Ample opportunities for professional growth, internal advancement and movement, and company-supported learning.
  • Competitive compensation and stock options.
  • Full benefits package including parental leave, a matching 401k program, PTO, and medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
  • Subsidized access to a fitness center + other onsite wellness offerings, such as yoga.

An Insider's view of Zipwhip

What are some social events your company does?

Every Friday we do something called Gourmet Lunch Friday, or "GLF" as we call it, where we get lunch catered by local chefs and the whole company comes together to eat lunch. This is also a time to go over weekly updates about product, engineering, and sales.
