The Goods Platform (GP) team is seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to enable EndToEnd real-time commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses, travel destinations and consumer products. You’ll enjoy an intense/exciting Startup environment where every day brings change and every engineer matters.  Your growth and advancement is driven by you.   

You will be responsible for Arch/Design of systems/services and iteratively developing/releasing critical features.  You’ll be able to directly see the benefits of your work daily on the business & in delighting customers.

Requirements:

• 4 years experience in designing/implementing large, scalable distributed systems

• Build for performance; you’re the kind of engineer who can take an API that responds in 2 seconds and improve it to 20MS at 25K RPS.

• Proficient in OO programming (Java preferred, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, etc)

• Pragmatic in finding creative solutions, juggling multiple projects, rapidly shiping elegant customer-centric services/apps

• Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostGres, MySql, Teradata)

• Obsessive about quality, good design and elegant code

• ML Interest/Experience is a plus

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
