Pivotal Commware develops 5G communications platforms, systems and applications based on Holographic Beam Forming® , a patented breakthrough in electromagnetic physics. Pivotal’s Holographic Beamforming Antenna system is a customizable and very flexible solution enabling the newest 5G generation networks. This solution allows us to build a mesh network of devices, extending the millimeter wave coverage. IBMS (Intelligent Beam Management System) is the software on top of this network, enabling a self-organized radio layer, from configuration and monitoring to pattern detection (ML) and intelligent auto-optimization.

This position is within a team responsible for developing the framework in the Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP Cloud Functions or similar), based on:

•Use of serverless functions

•Ensure secure interfaces between the devices, the hosting cloud and the end user interface

•Handle IoT devices for plug-and-play configuration, auto-monitoring and self-optimization

•Support demonstrations of the software to potential clients

The IBMS Sr Software Engineer position will work on multiple projects towards different clients in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the other parts of the business, such as the firmware team and the RF R&D.

This position reports to the Director of IBMS.

Responsibilities:

•Develop in JavaScript the API's related to configuration, monitoring, ML in a serverless Cloud

•Translate the Reference Software Architecture into a product

•Test, monitor and troubleshoot the developed REST API's

•Ensure the integration and deployment of the API's in a CI/CD environment

•Support the field trials through remote connection

•Analyze and estimate the development efforts for customer and internal feature requests

•Understand the Business Requirements and Constraints in a fast-paced developing environment

•Use the latest development in software solutions

Required Qualifications:

•BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience

•Knowledge and experience in coding with JavaScript

•Experience with development in a serverless Public Cloud environment (e.g. Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions or equivalent)

•Experience in working in an agile environment

•Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary

•Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

•Excellent communication and written skills

Desirable Experience:

•Experience in handling IoT networks

•Knowledge of implementing Machine Learning Algorithm

•Experience in development for the wireless telecommunication industry is a plus

•Knowledge of wireless telecommunication networks, especially the 4G and 5G standard is a plus
