Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and operating new services for our developer community with a focus on helping our developers collaborate
• Conducting research and prototyping current and emerging web technologies and issues in support of web efforts
• Working closely with other Unity teams around the world to ensure developers have a consistently great experience across all cloud services

Requirements

• Solid programming skills in your favorite language, even if it isn’t our own
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs in Ruby on Rails or Go
• Schema design and implementation of both SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Deep understanding of source control solutions e.g. Git, Mercurial etc.
• Experience with DevOps (deployment, monitoring, automation, etc)

Bonus Points

• Love of games and game culture
• Working knowledge of the Unity game engine
• Hobby projects that demonstrate aptitude in the core skill requirements
• 5+ years of designing and building scalable Web APIs
• Experience with our own stack (Ruby on Rails, Go, C#, AWS, Dynamo, ELK, and Kubernetes) is helpful, but not required - we are looking for great programmers that have a track record of solving problems in similar domains
