Pivotal is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to develop and support RF test and software test automation. This position works heavily with the RF Test Team and reports to the RF Development Test Manager.
•Collaborate with other functional groups (Software Engineering, Hardware Design, Mechanical Engineering) to plan, develop, and implement diagnostic tool sets for RF measurement and analysis systems
•Plan and develop test instrument, device, and test system automation tools and scripts
•Perform integration, system, and acceptance testing of test software systems Execute test cases, log defects, and track bugs
•Use and support continuous improvement practices for RF test software initiatives
•BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
•2+ years of experience as a Software Developer in Test, Software QA Engineer, Instrument Automation Engineer.
•Experience implementing software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
•Proven software and test system debug, test, and problem-solving skills
•Strong communications skills and ability to work seamlessly in fast paced engineering teams
•This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
•Experience developing automated test systems in Python, C, C++
•Experience in and familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis, or similarFamiliar with Git, Bitbucket, & JiraFamiliarity with standard embedded communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, Bluetooth, etc)
•Experienced with TCIP/IP networking and debugging tools (wireshark, etc.)
•Ability to write tests/tools in C/C++ as well as the ability to read and instrument embedded software and firmware
•Experience with measurement equipment such as Power Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generator, Vector Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power meters Willingness to learn new skills and software test methods
•Experienced Linux user
