Upbound is a cloud native computing startup that empowers organizations to run, scale and optimize their services across multiple public and private cloud environments. Upbound is headquartered in Seattle and is hiring for roles on open source projects and commercial hosted offerings. 

Upbound is venture funded and backed by GV (formerly Google Ventures).

In this role, you can expect to be:

• Designing, implementing, and testing product features.
• Working on both the frontend and backend to deliver full features.
• Working closely with product design and management to conceptualize and implement rich product experiences.
• Balancing tradeoffs to arrive at an excellent user experience
• Coding primarily in modern languages and frameworks like React, Angular or other JavaScript libraries, and standards-compliant HTML, CSS3.
• Working with RESTful APIs and backend systems in Golang.

You are a good fit if:

• You love to own and drive complete features end to end.
• You have a portfolio of experiences you’ve built and love to show it off.
• You are experienced in frontend and backend technologies.
• You have a track record of building designing and implementing features at scale.
• You have experience integrating and tracking analytics tags and A/B testing.
• You are able to drive complex features from design to high-quality code.
• You are able to balance trade-offs in both design and implementation.
• You appreciate the complexity of arriving at something simple.
• You are effective in working independently.
• You are effective at communicating and socializing your ideas.
• You have 2-5 years of related industry experience.

Would be excellent if:

• You love distributed systems and cloud computing.
• You’re an active speaker, blogger, and member of open source communities.
• You have worked in a startup before.
