Just-Evotec Biologics is seeking a highly motivated and creative data/software engineer that desires a significant opportunity to help invent the technologies required to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics.

The position will support development and application of business software systems and methods for capacity planning and resource modelling. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of software development practices, including the development of web-based interfaces to business applications. This position will work closely with other scientific developers and members of the business team. The successful candidate must also possess strong communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work directly with internal clients. Hiring level is dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities:

• Management of the full stack application development life cycle
• Work in teams to develop and/or implement business systems
• Develop code and data structure definitions for integrating and visualizing data
• Support and extend existing data management and visualization pipelines, code, and databases
• Work with staff to collect requirements, understand workflows, and review prototype systems

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• B.S. or equivalent experience
• 2 years relevant experience
• Strong experience in Java development
• Experience with relational databases and typical raw data exchange formats
• Experience with web UI frameworks such as PrimeFaces, JSF, ExtJs, or AngularJS

Preferred Skills:

• 3-5 years of Software Engineering experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Possess effective task/time management organizational skills
• Ability to work in small groups as well as independently
• Ability to organize, analyze/interpret, and effectively communicate results
• Familiarity with D3
• J2EE development experience
• Experience with AWS or other cloud solutions
• Familiarity with code versioning tools
