The Role 


The Technical Architect becomes an expert in our customer’s functional and technical requirements, translating those needs into business minded goals within Outreach. As a TA, you will provide guidance based on your technical & customer solution experience, and will be ultimately responsible for defining, documenting, and executing the appropriate technical solution. You will be the trusted advisor on topics ranging from, data migration and Outreach APIs to Conversational Intelligence deployment and CRM integration. You will work hand-in-hand with Outreach Professional Services Program Managers, Project Managers, and Consultants on various activities within a customer engagement as the technical solution designer and owner.

The Technical Consulting Practice is made up of leading experts on Outreach, CRM, and sales technologies who bring innovation to implementation each and every day. As a vital part of our onboarding and optimization processes, the technical consulting team ensures our customers utilize Outreach to the fullest technical potential while adhering to best practices.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

  • Running discovery sessions with customers to #UnpackTheUseCase
  • Prototyping solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Developing sample and pseudo code to interact with multiple REST APIs
  • Interfacing with the Product team to be on the cutting edge of Outreach features and functionality
  • Documenting best practices and delivering that information to customers in a digestible format
  • Creating and updating internal and customer facing documentation
  • Influencing all levels of leadership ranging from analysts to C-Level executives
  • Insightful anticipation of customer needs and proactive assistance
  • Defining and refining the initiatives, methodologies, assets, and programs within Professional Services related to technical components
  • Drive technical aspects of customer implementation projects
  • Provide enablement to the PS and Technical teams on topics related to APIs, CRM, and other advanced learnings
  • Provide pre-sales support to the Solutions Architect team when advanced scoping or technical solutioning is needed
  • Driving problems to resolution with minimal assistance
  • Contributing to multiple projects on a daily basis

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of solid experience in a technical, customer-facing role for medium to large scale business in a similar industry
  • Proven track record of working with REST APIs
  • Experience building trust and client relationships while being remote
  • Excellent at managing a high volume of customers and their respective priorities
  • Ability to memorize product features and spontaneously discuss benefits
  • Skilled in transforming customer vision into actual results within the product
  • Proven self-starter with ability to come up to speed on complex concepts with minimal assistance
  • Proficient in basics of SalesForce data schema and configuration
  • Experience with SaaS applications and infrastructure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel; travel could be up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training/certification in SalesForce and/or MS Dynamics (required within first year of hire) 
  • Knowledge of Sales Processes such as Lead Generation, Pipeline Management and KPIs
  • Experience with the Software Delivery Lifecycle or implementation of applications
  • Experience with a modern scripting language like Python
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud
