Vice President of Engineering
We are growing and looking for a Vice President of Engineering to manage our 10 person engineering team. This is a key role influencing all areas of our software architecture - internal and external products as well as DevOps. This is an ideal position for someone who wants a leadership role while still being hands-on with technology and reports directly to the CTO.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead, manage and build Lighter Capital’s engineering team - fostering a positive and high-performance team environment
- Mentor and guide the technical development of the engineers on our team in order to continuously improve our engineering capabilities
- Provide day-to-day direction by leading resource planning, team stand-ups, and code reviews
- Work closely with the business units to understand end user’s needs and create appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with Lighter Capital’s Leadership Team to develop strategic technology roadmaps
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with recent experience with the .Net stack
- Experience in a startup or small company required
- Experience in a lead role while continuing to code 10-30% of their time
- Experience providing technical leadership to a team of engineers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
