Our high-quality, global customer base includes top brands and retailers. We’re an entrepreneurial organization that is growing fast and looking for an experienced Vice President, Software Development to lead our Platform team! 

At Ideoclick, we work as a distributed team. While we maintain a corporate presence in Seattle, WA; our employees have the flexibility to work from the location they choose, and we are open to this role living/working anywhere in the US.

What you’ll do: 

  • Deliver thought leadership around technologies and strategies that enable innovation, transformation, and scaling 

  • Lead the development and support of technologies in alignment with the Ideoclick technology roadmap 

  • Accountable for the day to day operations of the Platform team. 

  • Leverage industry-leading methodologies for project and product delivery and support, with a focus on effective prioritization and execution. 

  • Ensure design and delivery of robust APIs to power our tools and platforms. 

  • Drive the evolution of Ideoclick’s database architecture so it can scale to meet the needs of more data to ingest and make available to our applications and customers

  • Build a nimble, responsive, high-performing team focused on both configuration and software development while also evolving agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement and accelerated delivery 

  • Effectively manage internal resources and third-party partners (backend engineers, mid-tier engineers, DBA, QA, Data, and IT), that are geographically dispersed 

  • Build strong relationships with the applications teams and product owners to ensure alignment of effort and priorities across the business 

  • Ensure that the project backlog is successfully executed, in regards to scope, budget, and timeliness

  • Ensure all production technologies impacting the business meet performance, reliability, and quality objectives 

  • Responsible for securing and protecting Ideoclick, our customers, and employees through thorough data protection practices 

  • Responsible for the quality, reliability, security, and recoverability of our platform services and data. 

  • Ensure ongoing support of the existing product portfolio, building new features, and supporting existing features. 

What you’ve done: 

  • Spent 10+ years growing and leading highly effective, distributed technology teams

  • Successfully managed a technology team in a fast-growing, nimble, environment 

  • Successfully created and executed strategy to build out scalable, externally facing APIs 

  • Experience building and delivering flexible, web-based reporting tools 

  • Experience building and delivering an enterprise-class database architecture 

What you’ve got: 

  • BS/MS in computer science or related field. 

  • Experience working in a small, growing company, or start-up environment. 

  • Passion for customers, technology, delivering high-quality products and services, and applying new technologies and practices. 

  • Deep knowledge of agile development methods and the Microsoft technology stack (Azure, SQL, C#) 

  • Deep understanding of how to build scalable technology 

  • Demonstrated effective communication and relationship building skills across internal and external partners. 

  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize competing deliverables in a dynamic environment 

  • A curious attitude and the ability to self-motivate, learn, and work in a fast-changing business environment 

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and dive into the details; a “get stuff done” attitude
