Peach is a venture-backed lunch delivery business that started in June 2014 and serves thousands of customers in Western Washington, Boston and San Diego. Peach has a unique and compelling business model where both the customer and the restaurant win; by capitalizing on the availability and talent of local restaurants, we bring locally produced, high quality meals to our customers in office buildings.

We are looking for an accounting & finance manager to oversee the accounting/finance functions at Peach (while also working in some capacity as an individual contributor). An ideal candidate will be an individual with breadth of experience in areas such as: GAAP financial statements, general ledger accounting, budgeting and forecasting, business analysis, and basic HR functions.

You will be crucial as the financial steward of the company in maintaining the integrity of the company's finances and managing its resources. You'll also work with the leadership team to monitor the business and come up with suggestions and actions as necessary. You might also be asked to perform adhoc analysis. This is a dynamic role which allows you to grow as much and as fast as you want to. The position will report directly to the CEO of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Managing an accounting staff
• Managing AR, AP, general ledger, payroll, and month end close
• Managing state and local compliance, such as city and state level B&O and use tax returns
• Preparing/oversee preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements
• Maintaining and monitoring key business metrics
• Performing adhoc financial analysis
• Short term and long term forecast and budgeting
• Weekly cash flow forecasting
• Maintaining relationships with outside parties, such as bankers, insurance brokers, etc.

Requirements:

• Accounting or finance major
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to perform GAAP/other research
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Driven & scrappy
• Prior management experience (one or more direct reports)

Preferred:

• Experience with Quickbooks Online
• Proficient in SQL
• Startup experience
