About the Role:

The Billing & Collections Specialist is involved in all areas of the accounts receivable process. This ranges from assisting the sales teams with billing questions, invoicing clients, and reaching out to clients with past due invoices.

The Finance team handles everything "money" at PitchBook including accounting, quote-to-cash, payroll, compliance, and budgeting for our fast-paced and growing company. The team supports the growth of PitchBook by providing actionable insights on the company's financial health, all while working with a fun, energetic team!

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare contracts, invoices and revenue schedules relating to closed contracts
  • Work with PitchBook's sales department to answer questions around billing and communicate any issues with accounts
  • Respond to a variety of inquiries from both customers and employees, via tickets and phone calls
  • Communicate remittance information to the cash application team
  • Manage collections efforts for past due invoices by making calls and sending notices
  • Compile back-up documentation for 3rd party collection cases
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
  • Complete vendor setup forms for new and prospective clients
  • Manage customer credit card and ACH payments
  • Create effective billing notes in customer files within SDFC
  • Support to the accounting team with month-end close duties as needed
  • Work with corporate teams and shared services to ensure clean master data
  • Support the vision and values of the company by setting an example and demonstrating desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ year's previous successful experience in a Customer Service role
  • Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Salesforce and Oracle systems a plus
  • Ability to work independently, under tight deadline at times, and in an ever changing/dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
