About the job:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing analytical roadmaps of the company's strategic initiatives and capital market activities. You will execute negotiations with financing reps along with debt covenant compliance and reporting. This role will be responsible for forecasting models, business intelligence and investor relations functions. Additionally, as a member of the FlyHomes team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for working with other functional areas of the Company's business, including Operations, Legal, Accounting, and Investment Management. This role will be based in either San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Analytical support of all financing-related activities, including Excel modeling, report generation, and coordinating with the Operations and Accounting teams
  • Review, analyze, confirm, and report on property-level and corporate financial results and operating performance metrics
  • Participate in, and contribute to, annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Support the creation and refinement of various quantitative and predictive analyses developed in the course of FlyHome’s budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Work with additional senior members of the company to ensure compliance with lender and/or servicer requirements and debt covenants, including creation of all necessary reporting
  • Review, evaluate, maintain, and improve financial models used for capital markets, asset management, managerial, operational, and financial reporting
  • Track macroeconomic and market-specific performance indicators within the real estate market
  • Assist with collection, synthesis, and modeling of data in support of analysis of strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and asset management decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and memoranda presented to the Company's Executive Committee, Investment Committee, and senior leadership team
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or business. MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience; in asset management
  • Building financial and forecasting models from scratch
  • Experience in real estate market data analytics and trends a plus
  • Accounting and / or financial modeling experience in real estate investments

Skills/Specialized Knowledge:

  • Expert knowledge of Excel required
  • Exceptional analytical abilities
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skill with the ability to present to C-Suite Executives and the Leadership Team
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; team-oriented
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
  • Comfort and familiarity with basic finance and accounting theory
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
