Overview
The staff at Intentional Futures is supported by a small innovative team that oversees the financial and operational functions of the company. The Operations team focuses on collaborating with executive staff, individual employees, and teams to support good decision making effective and efficient processes and systems.They work with the iF Values (imagination, rigor, & teamwork) in order to generate more revenue and foster a positive work culture.
What you’ll do at iF:
Team Management
Lead the Operations Team which currently has four FTE and supports a company of 30-35 employees.
The team’s areas of responsibility include finance, accounting, human resources, office administration, and technology.
Strategic Planning
Work in partnership with the CEO and leadership team to implement a strategic plan with attendant new processes and approaches to achieve it.
Lead the annual budgeting process. Evaluate company progress against stated goals.
Accounting & Finance
Oversee the financial health of the company including developing long- and short-range financial plans and budgets.
Ensure that sound financial controls are in place.
Create monthly financial reports and forecasts in support of transparency and continuous progress towards company goals and priorities.
Make recommendations based on cash flow forecasting and management.
Manage AP, AR, Payroll, and all other accounting and finance functions with the support of the other members of the team.
Provide guidance on client and vendor contracts; attend client-facing meetings as needed..
Quarterly & Yearly Tax Filing
Manage audits and tax filings
Remain up-to-date on tax topics that affect consulting firms.
Infrastructure and Technology Management
Manage vendors, fixed assets, and support service contractors.
Strive for continuous improvement of internal processes, technology and tools that run our consulting business.
Qualifications
Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
In-depth understanding of GAAP and managerial accounting practices. Experience with QuickBooks required.
Ability to create sophisticated and detailed reports that convey financial metrics and business health
Familiarity with complex client contracts, and proficiency communicating to clarify expectations around budgets and invoices.
Proficient in people management, mentoring, and communications
Technical skills with a wide variety of desktop and cloud-based software
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fluid work environment
Experience administering company-sponsored benefits (health, retirement, other)
Familiarity with and commitment to fostering greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
Additional Information
This position is located in our Seattle headquarters.
For a highly efficient and skilled candidate, this position could be structured as part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE)
