We are seeking to hire a FP&A Manager to manage the finance, forecasting, and operating reporting functions of the company. 


As the sole full-time member of the Finance team, you’ll manage compliance with the 2020 budget, drive revenue and P&L forecasting, and manage revenue, expenses, and cash reporting. In addition, you’ll use your analytics background to derive business insights to help the company for marketing and product development. While the company can contract an outsourced accounting firm to help you, you will also be in charge of this relationship and accounting knowledge is a huge plus. This role will report to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of 2020 budget. Forecast revenue from multiple SKU and customer retention curve
  • Refresh and update existing LTV model based on pricing and strategy shifts
  • Update and perform analysis on existing KPIs of the business. Potentially replace existing KPIs based on company needs and shift in strategy
  • Derive business insights based on customer behavior and journey, marketing channels, and financial performance
  • Provide input to Engineering team on optimal data structure for KPI and revenue reporting
  • Prepare the Financial statements and Forecast portions of board materials and quarterly investor updates notes
  • Treasury and cash management
  • Work with outsourced accounting firm to coordinate timely month end close and financials
  • Work with CEO and leadership team on hiring and expense planning
  • Help with leases & contracts as necessary
  • Work with external parties--bankers, insurance brokers, vendors, etc.


A Day in the Life

  • Running queries and analysis on historical software usage and transaction data (retention, pricing, etc.) to update the company’s 2020 Revenue Forecast model
  • Support Product team by looking at funnels and customer journey for the prior 2 weeks, meet with Product Managers and discuss findings
  • Support Marketing team by looking at CAC by channels, along with dropoff from impressions all the way to subscription
  • Prepare the finance portions of a few slides in the discussion document for upcoming Board of Directors meeting
  • Help with expense reimbursements and some vendor payments, if possible.


Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of finance and accounting experience, at least 1-3 of which are in FP&A. SaaS specific experience a plus.
  • Ability to understand all three financial statements
  • Strong business acumen and ability to derive insights from data
  • Microsoft Excel (Pivots, Vlookup, Offset, etc.)
  • SQL (optional but helpful)
  • Experience with BI tools (such as Amplitude, Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Tableau, Looker, and/or Google Data Studio) and accounting tools (QuickBooks Online, Expensify) a plus
  • Accounting knowledge and CPA a plus
