The Role 

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for improving the company’s financial status by analyzing and interpreting data and results, completing comparative evaluations, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. This is a critical hire for the FP&A team at Outreach; the perfect candidate for this role will have a high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail.

Your daily adventure will include:

• Drive the development of accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
• Proactively analyze and evaluate the business, identifying key operating trends, opportunities for growth, and more prudent expense management
• Help build models to better understand technology spend and provide recommendations to senior management on various efficiency metrics 
• Work with accounting on proper treatment for all technology spend
• Drive unit cost economics for our cloud spend 
• Develop and refine key engineering and product business metrics
• Assess and implement process improvements to the financial planning cycle
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence decision making
• Prepare monthly budget to actual results and other key financial analyses and report on results to key stakeholders
• Develop and maintain the core financial models with well thought through drivers and trend projections
• Perform strategic and scenario analysis to determine present and future performance
• Assist with the development and maintenance of pricing models
• Ad hoc projects and analyses

Our vision of you

• 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience
• Previous experience supporting technology and product functions preferred
• Strong understanding of the overall technology landscape
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS preferredProven experience in financial modeling, business analysis, FP&A, analytics, and experience with a financial planning software tool
• Previous experience with Anaplan a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to drive structure in ambiguity
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA a plus
• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
• Maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion are required
• Team player with a strong work ethic 
• Strong presence with the ability to interact with Sr. Leadership
• Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word and Excel
