Napster is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their Finance/FP&A team in Seattle.

About the Role:

As Napster’s Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for performing impactful, data-driven analysis and reporting to influence business planning, performance reporting, and management accountability. The role requires a collaborative working style with people at all levels across all functions domestic and internationally. This position is partnering closely with the management team in the budget planning and forecasting process and is reporting directly into our Chief Financial Officer in our Seattle office. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing driver-based annual Budget, Operating plans, and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with operating leaders and summarizing corporate-wide results for the CEO and CFO.
  • Providing deal modeling and decision support analyses for recommendations to executive management.
  • Defining views and metrics regarding management performance and accountability.
  • Developing complex multi-year business models including 3-statement corporate financials for annual strategic plan and capital raise efforts.
  • Analyzing monthly revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses for Budget owners to understand what happened, why it happened, and what the implication is.
  • Preparing materials for monthly shareholder updates and quarterly Board Meetings.
  • Designing and implementing procedures for more efficient reporting tools.
  • Analyzing cost structures and assisting in identifying opportunities for improvement in process and profitability growth.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis as requested by business partners.
  • Working closely with the accounting team to ensure reliability and accuracy of financial reporting and that compliance requirements are met.

 About You:

You are a data driven Financial Analyst with previous work experience in FP&A in small to mid-size companies. You are proactive and take initiative to determine what needs to be done. You take action and know how to successfully drive and execute projects to completion. You thrive in a small dynamic fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously. You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with various  levels within the organization.

 Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or another related field. MBA desired.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Accounting, Business Operations, or Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Good strategic and tactical business skills & passion for using data to drive better decision making
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative/ financial skills
  • Expert-level applied knowledge of Excel; experience in JetReports or other reporting system.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships with a broad diversity of cross-functional and cross-business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with/produce high caliber analytics and analysis for senior business leaders/executives
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strong problem solving skills, exercise sound business judgment
