The Senior Revenue Accountant will be a key member of the global revenue recognition team and will report directly to the Revenue Manager. The Global Revenue Recognition team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of revenue.

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring revenue and related accounts are posted to the GL accurately and in accordance to generally accepted accounting principles. In addition the Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for monitoring of accounts receivable aging and assessment of bad debt reserve, applying cash to customer invoices and enhancing current policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process orders in system to ensure all documentation is in compliance with company policy and work closely with Sales Operations and Accounts Receivables teams from order entry perspective
• Perform the monthly close tasks associated with revenue including the preparation of various reconciliations, deferred revenue roll forward, monthly revenue journal entries and monthly revenue related analysis
• Work closely with external audit team regarding all quarterly review and annual audit requirements
• Assist in system testing related to automation of processes and system enhancement activities
• Assist in preparation of monthly management reports
• Assist in process improvements to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten revenue close calendar
• Assist in projects related to adoption of ASC 606
• Ad-hoc, special projects, and other requests as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 2+ years professional accounting experience, including at least 1+ years of experience in revenue recognition
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel SkillsExperience with NetSuite a plus
• Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines
• Very strong written and verbal communication skill
