In this role, you will be leading a team of Business Intelligence Developers who deliver innovative Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to help enable business growth and make Google Cloud Learning Services teams more effective and efficient.

Using your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity, you will lead a team of BI developers who build robust data pipelines and analytical models to support automated reporting and insight generation that allow Learning Services teams to quickly and accurately track their metrics to make data driven decisions.

You’ll be involved in projects from problem solving to design to delivery, ensuring that our workflows optimally deliver high-quality and relevant data to facilitate cloud learning needs. You will partner with members of Strategy and Operations to understand business problems and evolving requirements, and with your team to deliver practical but innovative solutions for real business benefit in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and grow a group of BI Developers and support engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment to service the long term and ad-hoc BI needs of business stakeholders.
  • Gather, synthesize, and translate business requirements to design and develop scalable BI solutions to address the business needs.
  • Own and drive complex technical BI projects from planning stages through to execution following software development life cycle principles; partner with the Strategy and Operations team to project prioritization and create a BI Roadmap to execute upon.
  • Meet established service-level agreement by providing user support for ad-hoc data requests, fixing bugs, addressing feature requests, and helping with investigating data issues.
  • Collaborate directly with the BI infrastructure team on leveraging tools, processes, and code reviews to deliver scalable, robust, quality solutions.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), or Data Engineering as an individual contributor and experience managing teams.
  • Experience in SQL, data modeling, developing data sets, automated pipelines (ETL), creating dashboards in Looker, Google Dashboards, Data Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing and developing a Business Intelligence team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of people management experience.
  • Experience at a Enterprise or Cloud company supporting data-driven sales operations and strategic cross-functional BI initiatives.
  • Experience designing a BI roadmap and executing the vision behind it.
  • Experience instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results.
  • Demonstrated experience building analytics, BI, or data engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, and cross-functional leadership skills; perseverance and proactive style to drive cross-functional initiatives forward.
