Your role and impact

The UX Design and Research team is looking for a UX Design intern to help ideate, design, prototype, and specify improvements for the tools our doctors use to treat patients. You’ll be making tools for doctors to practice medicine in a way that is low-cost and accessible to patients, satisfying to clinicians, and takes advantage of technology in ways that weren’t possible before, all while maintaining high quality health and service outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create process diagrams, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs for new features
• Clearly specify your own or others’ designs for handoff to engineering
• Use experience principles to create a consistent visual style for the application
• Apply feedback from routine collaborations with product managers, designers of the patient and clinician experiences, researchers, engineers, and clinic teams
• Collaborate with UX research to test and refine designs

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher in a design-related field (human-computer interaction, interaction design, human factors, or graphic design) or equivalent practical experience
• Strong but developing interaction design and user interface design portfolio for web (clinic UX) or native mobile (patient UX)
• Demonstrated skill with tools such as Sketch and InVision, Adobe Creative Suite
