About the Role:

Remitly is looking for an experienced Corporate and Securities Paralegal to be an essential member of the corporate legal team, working with all members of this team and being a liaison to other teams across the company. You will report to the Senior Counsel, Corporate and Securities.

You Will:

  • Maintain subsidiary database, manage subsidiaries' organizational and governance books and records, including formation documents, board packages, and state filings.
  • Organize and update corporate legal and related records.
  • Manage the board portal, and prepare and distribute board materials packages in collaboration with management.
  • Prepare drafts of minutes and other important legal documents for attorney finalization and review.
  • Help with securities administration responsibilities, including managing issuance and records of equity compensation, correspondence with transfer agent.
  • Support and prepare regulatory filings in connection with securities administration as needed.
  • Support on corporate transactions including due diligence requests, preparation and issuance of secretary's certificates, coordination of schedules, integration matters and other tasks.
  • Partner with accounting, compliance, payroll, tax, treasury, and other teams to provide corporate data for ultimate beneficial owner forms, anti-money laundering forms, Know Your Customer forms, RFPs, tax returns, audits, and other requests.
  • Support due diligence and documentary collection and redaction exercises in connection with audit procedures and regulatory examinations/compliance activities.
  • Help create scalable processes, internal team sites, FAQs, and self-service tools to support Remitly's growth.

You Have:

  • 3+ years' of paralegal or other comparable experience (ideally in-house) with a focus on securities and contract management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Paralegal certification a plus
  • Experience implementing new systems
  • A focus and working knowledge of the Fintech / technology industry preferred
  • Experience working in a company during a period of rapid growth from hundreds to thousands of employees and with a global presence is ideal
