ABOUT THE POSITION

You will report to the Senior Director of Demand Generation and will collaborate with cross departmental teams in developing strategic marketing plans to hit defined goals for customer retention. The Customer Retention Marketing Manager will own strategy development aimed at scaling user engagement and retention programs. You will play an integral role in defining innovative ways to nurture and retain customer relationships, reduce their churn, and improve engagement and lifetime value


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, manage and execute impactful marketing programs in order to support retention goals. Your work will be integral in shaping a retention marketing strategy that scales and is critical to achieving key company objectives
  • Attain an intimate knowledge of our customers and their most pressing challenges through research, feedback loops, and direct interactions
  • Create content, such as case studies, customer stories, etc, for integration into direct and indirect communication streams to support retention strategy and renewals
  • Partner with the customer success organization to drive programs, actions, and campaigns that directly influence retention goals 
  • Understand and own the customer lifecycle to engage with customers with impactful programs and communications that influence product adoption and churn
  • Ownership of defining goals, programs, and KPIs within the customer segment 
  • Create and own the plan for the year comprised of strategies, messaging, and programs 
  • Take a data driven approach to understanding the customer segmentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years relevant experience specific to customer marketing directly supporting customer retention goals
  • A strong track record of customer-centrism, and ability to apply a customer-first focus from positioning development to go-to-market execution
  • Direct experience designing and managing retention marketing programs; enterprise retention experience preferred
  • Experience bringing together internal teams to meet shared goals
  • Proven success in building and engaging audiences through various channels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications, including strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with data and reporting on performance and impact of campaigns and programs
  • Familiar with marketing technology including Salesforce, Marketo, and Pendo
  • Experience engaging with customers across geographies and industries, at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or applicable experience

  • Experience with tools including, salesforce, marketo, and pendo
