Chef is looking for a product marketing and sales enablement expert with experience in enterprise platforms and open source software. Join us in delivering exceptional product marketing and field enablement for a world-class platform.

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing & Field Enablement to help our sales teams tell the Chef story with impact and grow our revenue in the enterprise and government markets. This role is responsible for the field enablement function at Chef, working closely with sales leadership, marketing, product management, business development, customer success, and our salespeople worldwide. In the role, you will work closely with sales to understand their needs, design programs to maximize seller productivity, and spearhead projects that will accelerate revenue growth at Chef.

What You’ll Do

  • Design Chef’s field enablement program for scale, working closely with sales teams around the globe.
  • Implement and manage enablement programs to maximize seller productivity.
  • Design, implement, and manage sales plays to grow Chef revenue and market share.
  • Build and manage seller on-boarding programs to reduce ramp time.
  • Lead enablement events, including Chef’s annual Sales Kickoff.
  • Create and deliver product marketing and enablement materials: messaging content, presentations, customer deliverables, etc.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, develop competitive materials and differentiate Chef in the market.
  • Work with demand generation colleagues to synchronize sales plays and lead generation activities.
  • Collaborate with business development colleagues to create partner-ready sales materials.
  • Build relationships with sales leadership, sales teams, and across the organization to be a trusted advisor to sales leaders and champion for sales excellence at Chef.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 7 years demonstrated experience in Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, or related roles (Marketing Strategy, Competitive Analysis, etc.).
  • Experience in enterprise software markets, particularly platforms and open source software.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, configuration management, release management, test-driven development, information security standards, and the container ecosystem.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including a dynamic and engaging presentation style that inspires confidence.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • A deep love for generating beautiful, easy to understand content that produces results.
  • An ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results.
