Facebook is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join the Platform Partnerships Marketing team, where he/she will focus on products such as Messenger & Instagram Business Messaging and the Developer Platform & Identity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the way Facebook can help developers, brands, partners & businesses drive real-world outcomes using our products and services as well as have experience in the messaging and developer field. They will be responsible for marketing to this audience. This person will be an expert at developing marketing strategies, creating marketing positioning, collateral & various other forms of marketing content for online and offline, and deploying co-marketing campaigns with our partners. We are looking for an experienced marketer and strategic thinker who can drive results and continue to evolve marketing programs as part of the global marketing team. The person will leverage communication skills, have an eye for powerful communication, and the ability to work across a broad range of topics. Excellent marketing, leadership, collaboration, attention to detail, managing multiple priorities, and cross-functional coordination are critical to success.
Platform Partnerships Marketing Manager Responsibilities
Develop marketing strategy, planning and execution for solutions & programs for business messaging and/or Developer Platform & Identity, including messaging, positioning & narratives as well as additional outbound marketing to drive awareness and engagement
Create global marketing programs, campaigns, go-to-market plans, and events
Identify, develop & execute co-marketing plans & campaigns with key strategic partners
Develop innovative and creative marketing programs to drive outcomes that scale our messaging and/or Developer platform & Identity products
Work directly with the Platform Partnerships team to drive awareness, engagement and positive sentiment with these audiences through solutions & programs
Create compelling, integrated content (e.g. narrative, messaging, presentations, collateral, videos, pitch decks)
Identify and develop content, case studies and proof points for these products
Become an expert in Facebook's developer products, partners and audience
Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Partnerships, Marketing, Policy, PR/Communications, Legal, Product, Design, and more
Demonstrate strong understanding of the broader Facebook developer ecosystem and competitive landscape
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years professional experience in Marketing or Product Marketing in Internet and/or technology
Experience with B2B and/or B2C marketing activities, including narrative development, online & events
Experience in outbound marketing messaging, positioning and narrative development — online & offline
Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and simply
Experience partnering with Product, Engineering & Partnerships organizations
Experience communicating to a variety of audiences, particularly technical audiences
Experience working in a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
Cross-functional, project management, and leadership experience
Analytical experience, communication, and time management skills
Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions across all levels of an organization
Experience working in a cross functional environment across multiple time zones and teams
