Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a marketing or technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of technology or software B2B marketing experience.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience in writing for a technical audience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience operating in a high-growth, collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and scaling new and emerging products.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with groups across marketing as well as leaders in sales, product management, and partner teams.
  • Excellent narrative and storytelling abilities that propel adoption and market momentum that help bring innovative, industry-leading, category-defining tech products to market.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As the Platform Product Marketing and Content Manager for Google Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Google Cloud. You will be responsible for the product marketing of the complete set of Google Cloud products, focusing on what makes the Google Cloud products and solutions different from others in the market.

You will work closely with product marketing, campaign marketing, industry solutions, and sales and partner teams, and be responsible for the positioning of the Google Cloud business, messaging, and content across all channels. You will create compelling stories that highlight the business value of Google Cloud solutions. You will work cross-functionally to implement go-to-market strategies and interface with leaders across industries and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop messaging and marketing initiatives that align with the different types of buyers of our cloud products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other marketing, product management, and partner and sales functions to define and deliver solutions value proposition, marketing narratives, and core sales enablement content.
  • Build thought leadership, content, and tools for marketing campaigns and web. Develop the “story” for key industry moments at Cloud Next, Cloud Summits, Major Partner Summits, etc.
  • Drive alignment across sales, product, developer relations and marketing functions to realize the shared goals of the marketing plan.
  • Research, write, edit, and manage blog posts, campaign content, and other materials for market education, sales acceleration, and partner enablement, and imagine how they can be repurposed into additional content.
