We are looking for a highly motivated Search Marketing Strategist to drive the strategy, planning and execution of our clients’ SEO marketing initiatives to achieve their business objectives. You will be responsible for driving stellar results for your assigned clients, as well as helping the Vice President of Strategy grow the digital strategy practice overall. Our company is growing rapidly and changing weekly, so we also need someone who is flexible and interested in ongoing growth in role and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

As Search Strategist, you will:

  • Lead keyword research, technical, content, and backlink audits
  • Recommend and implement technical optimizations
  • Guide offsite activity such as Content Marketing Strategy or Outreach Campaigns
  • Develop integrated digital strategies
  • Run effective SEO campaigns
  • Produce client facing reports, studies and presentations
  • Continually broaden your knowledge in the field of SEO and in the process share and teach that knowledge to the rest of the team.
  • Demonstrate search industry thought leadership.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with clients.
  • Analyze the performance of campaigns, identifying strategic opportunities and facilitating change in order to hit and exceed client expectations and goals.

You will be responsible for the following outcomes:

  • Distilling and implementing strategies that drive business value
  • Communicating strategies in such a way that clients understand the strategy, its implementation, and the value driven
  • Building personal relationship with each client

You:

In addition, you:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in SEO
  • Enjoy and excel at both the art and science of SEO
  • Have technical SEO expertise (Canonicalization, Sitemaps, Crawl Budget, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, etc.)
  • Research and diagnose technical issues and communicate them in a way for everyone to understand
  • Know your way around HTML, although not a developer, and can communicate with engineering teams
  • Love data and the story it tells, accessing, analyzing and utilizing data from Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Have a passion for the Internet and its value as a marketing channel
  • Excel in telling a story with your findings to persuade others in both written and verbal forms
  • Are a self-starter, self-motivator and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Desire to learn and expand your professional responsibilities
  • Have intellectual horsepower, but are humble, professional and gracious. We’re nice people, we have a phenomenal team and we tend to be friends with our clients. We want to add a teammate who has a similar sensibility.
