Job Description

What We Do: Our Demand Generation Marketing team builds multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, paid social, display/SEM) that deliver leads for our sales organization. We are constantly employing CRO best practices in effort to make data-driven decisions, designed to optimize our campaigns to increase conversion rates throughout the funnel. Our team is curious, innovative, and hardworking (but we also love to have fun!).

What You Do: The Sr. Marketing Specialist is tasked with crafting hyper-targeted and highly engaging content for the B2B buyer audience, in support of the greater Demand Gen strategy. This position requires a savvy marketer who can put themselves in the customer's shoes to drive substantial engagement and find new, innovative ways of reaching potential customers. Content topics will range from Human Capital industry thought leadership to PayScale product messaging.

Day-in-the-Life: As a Senior Marketing Specialist, a typical day may include the following…

  • Spend 3 hours writing amazing email and landing page content that aligns with persona guidelines; ensuring you are on track for quarterly project completion
  • Set up A/B tests for poorly performing landing pages and optimize to improve form fills, using data from successful pages to inform test
  • Monitor Google Alerts for competitor news and content; include important competitive intel in weekly report to sales leadership
  • Block off 1 hour in order to research industry news; incorporate content in existing marketing campaigns
  • Attend one-on-one meetings with content marketing, product marketing, or sales to share campaign performance data and gather feedback

First Year in Role:

  • Month 3: You have studied up, and have developed a firm understanding of PayScale's B2B customer personas and demand generation processes. You have quickly picked up on our tools and workflow, and have begun to create and execute on campaign content.
  • Month 6: You are crafting and deploying thoughtful content, for multi-channel campaigns and have used the analytics at your disposal to optimize said campaigns. You have strengthened your understanding of our marketing processes, and are well on your way to becoming a subject matter expert in all things PayScale Demand Gen!
  • Month 12: You are now operating autonomously in the design and deployment of new, multi-channel demand gen campaigns. You monitor your campaigns with a keen and creative eye, always looking around corners for ways to improve their yield. You've come to the table with new, data-driven ideas on how to increase our conversion rates and quality of leads in future campaigns.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience developing and executing omnichannel marketing campaigns; preferably within a SaaS environment
  • Success creating and deploying demand generation campaigns across email, paid social, and display/SEM
  • Outstanding content creation and communication skills
  • Experience conducting A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
