The purpose of this role is to work within the Brand Marketing Team to deliver best in class social, creative and influencer assets to support the marketing and promotion of campaigns for the Blue Bile brand, globally. The work of the Social Media & Influencer Relations Manager will be used by internal teams to engage with audiences and drive attribution to the Blue Nile brand across a wide variety of digital platforms, though mainly spanning social media channels.

The role will manage Blue Nile’s social media channels and presence, ensuring a compelling, engaging but consistent tone, look and feel throughout. The role is fast paced, strategic and creative, and you will be working with the breadth and depth of Blue Nile content and aligning with the greater brand team on communication priorities and messaging as it relates to social. You will be able and keen to review effectiveness of social executions and content and respond to results.

What you will you do:

  • Social media management, including strategy, content development, community and conversation monitoring (by channel) aligned with key brand objectives in collaboration with brand team
  • Work collaboratively with the larger brand marketing and creative team and to develop quarterly social media editorial plans by channel
  • Research, write and edit materials and editorial calendars in collaboration with creative/editorial team.
  • Work with the creative design to develop new and engaging assets
  • Assist and coordinate multi-tiered influencer campaigns including curating talent, negotiating rates/managing contracts, coordinating product, providing creative direction/brand guidelines and corresponding links/promotional codes to talent
  • Identify the right influencers to drive brand awareness, interest and engagement. Develop authentic connections to lead to genuine brand advocacy; foster long term relationships with our influencer/content creator community
  • Seek out and develop relationships with customers and influencers in Blue Nile’s social media community
  • Utilize monitoring tools to compile weekly and monthly activity reports; manage and report on weekly and monthly social KPI’s
  • Keep the team apprised of community performance, including growth and engagement; recommend social campaign strategies and content based on performance and analytics.
  • Partner with the Merchandising group to support product launches and business priorities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of social media strategy, management and content creation experience in a communications agency or in-house role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, journalism, or similar subject.
  • Experience in fashion, jewelry, or ecommerce is a plus.
  • Aptitude experimenting with content creation tools and apps
  • Energetic self-starter and resourceful problem solver
  • Social curiosity and an affinity for popular culture and content

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of how content travels across social media platforms.
  • Experience managing brand channels on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram and excellent knowledge of social media best practices by channel
  • Understands how to create a unique, but unified, voice for each platform
  • Ability to identify stories of interest to Blue Nile’s social community.
  • Exceptional communication skill and judgment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to projects immediately with minimal ramp-up.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, creativity.
  • Basic understanding of social media reporting and scheduling tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other creative software.
  • Talent for lighting, composition, and styling.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
