About the Role:

As the Sr. Community Manager, you are responsible for identifying growth opportunities for critically important community initiatives - including membership, user generated content and onsite engagement. You are continually tracking and evaluating our efforts, and working cross functionally to assist with building our programs.

In this role you will:

  • Organize our community initiatives in accordance with the community team’s goals.
  • Dig into our community and elevate their stories - both onsite and in our marketing materials
  • Execute new programs to support community engagement growth.
  • Track community efforts against long and short-term goals.
  • Represent the voice of the community interdepartmentally, ensuring all programs represent our active and vibrant community.
  • Directly engage users and drive overall community growth
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and advocate for greater efficiencies, best practices, and community-facing product improvements
  • Represent the voice of the community internally, advocating for community features
  • Test and measure the impact of new tactics for driving engagement, feature adoption, and growth
  • Identify & surface areas of growth within the community
  • Draft new community process documents
  • Help train and mentor new community managers
  • Drive small and mid-size projects or tests with coaching from senior team members and/or manager

About You:

You think ‘community first’ and know how to get others on board. You are first and foremost ready to jump in and do what needs to be done - from providing support to an individual to advocating for a group. You pair a natural ability to see the strategic big picture with the ability to understand the consumer and how to communicate their needs.

You may be the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Progressive experience in community management
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience managing online communities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; will be required to correspond with RealSelf community members on a daily basis
  • Experience driving strategies for community growth
  • Experience with identifying opportunities to drive additional consumer value with community features
  • A strategic“big picture” understanding of the role a thriving community plays in the business
  • Experience with A/B testing, analyzing results, and making best practice recommendations


Travel:

Travel is not anticipated for this role.

Work Environment:

The RealSelf office sits in a historic Pioneer Square building. Employees also have the option to bring their dogs to work!
