About the Role

Tempered Networks is seeking a Technical Writer to assist with a large content re-branding effort by updating our documentation and manuals. T the ideal candidate must have the ability to quickly identify required changes and execute on a short and changing schedule.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit customer procedures and manuals
• Modify and reorganize documentation and user manuals
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content

Skills & Qualifications

• 7 – 10+ years of proven experience working in a technical writing position
• Great teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
• Familiarity with structured authoring, namely DITA and DocBook
• Experience using authoring tools such as Oxygen XML, SDL Tridion, or Arbortext XML
• Strong attention to detail
