ABOUT THE TEAM

The marketing team serves the marketing needs of the business as well as the internal needs of other departments in the organization with everything from product marketing to lifecycle marketing to corporate marketing. The team delivers on a lead commit every month for both mid-market and enterprise level and acquires about 80% of leads via content marketing.


ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a visual storyteller with 2-5 years experience in both filming and editing to join a team of creatives, copywriters, and marketing professionals. We’re looking for someone who can take direction from both written and verbal ideas and transform them into compelling on-brand visual stories. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of light, sound, staging, and video editing. A digital portfolio of work must be submitted with application.
This role reports to the Head of Marketing Communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce, direct, film and edit (PTCs, interviews, b-roll) a variety of content to build a library of product videos, hiring and company culture videos, case study videos, event trailers, and other promo videos.
  • Help produce livestream/broadcast content
  • Creation of video content for online - editing, graphics, sound, outputting to a variety of formats for social
  • Capture studio-quality video both on location and in the office as projects dictate.
  • Lead all technical setup for shoots, including lighting, angle, placement and type of microphone, and positioning of individuals on camera (if appropriate).
  • Collaborate regularly with creative teammates, marketing teammates, and senior management.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of our brand message and tone to accurately capture in video and photo form.
  • Support the company and marketing department with other related tasks as needed


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Great creative eye for visualizing and shooting concepts effectively.
  • Understanding of composition, lighting, and sound in a production environment
  • The ability to work within the constraints of both brand guidelines and short timelines
  • Understand the basic elements of storytelling
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics/animation
  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Ability to apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment 
  • Must be able to self-manage projects and interact with personnel (internal and external) in a manner that helps create a dynamic team-based, customer-focused culture


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Commercial production experience
  • Knowledge of RED Digital Cinema and Panasonic cameras
  • Motion graphics/animation
  • Knowledge of resolutions and codecs for online video
  • Proficient with Adobe Audition, Media Encoder, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Understanding of video analytics and how to use them to measure success
  • Basic knowledge of music theory
