Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ongoing requirements gathering, design, and release management across communications, workforce management, and AI. This role requires building expertise in business use of Accolade data and developing insights to inform use cases for new tools, supporting investigation of metrics and assisting in other product areas related to cost of service modeling, engagement journeys, and validating data on the Accolade platform. 

A day in the life…

Work closely with Workforce Management ("WFM") and Operations groups to understand and translate business requirements and configuration specifications, including workflow and process diagrams, use cases, impacts or gap analyses and function specifications and use cases. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide WFM, Communications, and Machine Learning product management support on managing systems, interfaces, and reporting solutions across Verint, Amazon Connect & ACP systems
  • Manage system change projects by coordinating project and operational resources and tracking projects through to completion
  • Coordinate and complete user acceptance testing as needed
  • Create and/or review test documentation
  • Participate in product roll-out, pilots, and beta testing
  • Conduct project update meetings with stakeholders to make everyone aware of the progress
  • Participate in the technical solution design processes
  • Create and modify product management reports and dashboards
  • Retrieve ad-hoc data and conduct analysis using various data management systems
  • Support cross-functional teams on day-to-day project initiatives with data
  • Prepare technical reports, procedures and process maps to document systems and workflows
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, end users and project team members to identify and resolve issues regarding all phases of assigned projects, including assessment, design, testing, training, and implementation

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 0-4+ years of working experience (incl. internships, volunteer and research positions), or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, R, etc.)
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience with Redshift, Athena, SQL Server and SSRS reporting
  • Knowledge on ETL, data warehousing methodologies and data modeling concepts preferred
  • Experience with coding languages (e.g. Java, Python, VBA, etc.) preferred
  • Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, AHA and Sharepoint experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical Excel skills and the ability to utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting including Pivot Charts, Pivot Tables, Formatting, etc.)
  • Individual contributor or self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Strong results orientation with a high degree of organization and follow through
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and achieve results
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration with various roles
  • Excellent interpersonal (written, verbal, and listening) skills and strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to resolve end-user issues quickly and accurately, with the ability to develop reports that meet customer requirements.
  • High-level understanding of system data structures and HR and WFM processes, with proven ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Understanding and effective application of project management techniques for low to moderately complex projects
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to support business needs (e.g., evenings or weekends)
  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach required, with the ability to remain focused on the bigger picture while working in a fast-paced environment
