As the IT and Security Manager you will be responsible for building and maintaining the IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for owning and implementing company-wide security tools to ensure HIPAA compliance. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for technology and a demonstrated ability to deep-dive into advanced systems-level issues
What You'll Do
- Lead, develop and motivate a team of people that are responsible for the IT Infrastructure, desktop and mobile devices (data center, network, communication and security), and hosted phone system.
- Implement a pro-active view of the service organization’s capability to deliver service by trending against performance and quality statistics.
- Manage and maintain a virtual infrastructure and monitoring services onsite and in a cloud environment (Hyper-V and AWS experience
- Provide IT security implementation to the requirements of HIPAA.
- Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
- Act as an escalation point for all issues, tasks and projects relating to IT and IT Security.
- Supervise vendors and contractors performing infrastructure implementations.
- Display patience and professionalism working with employees having a range of computer competencies.
- Mentor other IT staff as-needed on all IT Infrastructure technologies.
- Support local & remote users via IT Support ticketing systems, emails, and phone calls.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft active directory and Office365
- Manage and maintain a mixed storage infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain Disaster Recovery and Backup systems.
- Manage and maintain networking equipment and technology such as core and access switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Ability to be on-call periodically to respond to any emergency outages.
- Manage and maintain miscellaneous infrastructure hardware such as UPS and power distribution systems.
What You'll Need
Required
- 7+ years of experience providing technical support.
- 3+ years of IT security experience
- BA/BS desired in a Business or Computer Science field or Equivalent work experience
- Excellent analytical abilities, project coordination, and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of desktop and server operating systems (MacOS, Windows, Linux).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently on projects with minimal supervision and direction.
- Ability and willingness to lift objects over 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Current IT Security Certification, with Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification a plus.
- Experience working with and maintaining Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
