Senior IT Ops Specialist
Job Description:
DomainTools is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior IT Ops Specialist to join our Technical Operations team. We are a company with a vision of a safe, secure, and open Internet for everyone and we need some help to achieve that vision.
This role will serve as the main owner of the DomainTools corporate IT vision and execution. As part of the larger Technical Operations team, you will focus heavily on our employee’s technology needs to run our business. This includes laptop management, SaaS application administration, end user troubleshooting, audio/video system design and support, and inventory management.
Job Responsibilities:
- End user support for office related issues using a work ticket queue tracked in Jira
- Automating the configuration and deployment of Macbook laptops using JAMF
- Employee user account management
- Management and configuration of core business tools (email/chat/wiki)
- Design, manage and troubleshoot Audio/Video equipment in conference rooms and office dashboard displays
- Manage inventory and ordering of technology supplies ensuring adequate stock available at all times
- Manage data clean up and disposal of computing assets using approved 3rd party recyclers
- Develop and deliver training as needed to help employees adopt new technologies and best utilize our systems and infrastructure
- Advocate and educate users on use of tools and infrastructure systems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Clear desire to help people enhance their job functions through the use of technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency at writing end user documentation (HowTo’s, as-built documentation) for technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to dive into problems whether familiar or not
- Commitment to continuous improvement for the team
- 3+ years experience working in end user support
- Passion for automating away problems
- Self-starter able to manage a multitude of priorities and demands
- Ability to juggle project work along with ad-hoc requests effectively
- Experience supporting remote workforce is plus
