Qumulo is looking for a Systems & Compensation Analyst to join our growing team!

Reporting to the Sr, Manager, Compensation & Systems, you will bring your passion for data, systems, and compensation programs to enable Qumulo to continuously improve our employee experience and further our reputation as a great place to work. This role supports end-to-end administration for global systems, compensation, compliance, and reporting.  This role regularly interacts with Qumulo’s people partners, payroll, benefits, finance, internal client groups, and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

Systems (administration, auditing & data stewardship)

  • Responsible for systems administration for Qumulo’s People Team systems,
  • Recommends and implements new systems configurations and partners across the organization to define dependencies.
  • Builds and manages systems documentation,
  • Conducts monthly and quarterly audits to ensure data is complete and accurate within and across systems (BambooHR, Employee Navigator, and ADP); researches and resolves any data discrepancies identified,
  • Prepares data from salary surveys for use in other tools or systems,
  • Partners with the Finance and Recruiting teams to track new and existing job family IDs to support Qumulo's equity compensation program.

Compensation (analysis & research)

  • Contributes to the semi-annual compensation planning cycles,
  • Leads annual salary survey submissions; to include compensation data and practices surveys,
  • Assists annually with updating global salary structure,
  • Assists with administration and calculation of incentive and recognition bonus payouts,
  • Maintains a tracker of minimum pay (e.g., US hourly non-exempt & salaried exempt) for all locations where Qumulo has employees; ensures alignment of this information within our systems and recommends improvements,
  • Researches domestic and international compensation practices (e.g,. car and other allowances, on-call pay, merit and promotion budgets, and other evolving topics of interest).
  • Supports Qumulo’s equity compensation program administration.

Reporting

  • Prepares quarterly metrics and DE&I reporting (uses Excel and Tableau),
  • Prepares and submits EEO reporting (Federal & California); audits and updates employee-level EEO data,
  • Prepares monthly accruals for bonus and incentive programs,
  • Recommends and develops new people team reporting as business needs evolve.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for accuracy.
  • Ability to see beyond the issue at hand, identify dependencies, and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Intellectually curious; seeks new information to deepen own knowledge and then shares with others.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced nested formulas, charts, etc.
  • Data visualization using Tableau and experience with Excel's PowerBI/Query/Pivot (preferred)
  • Transparent communication style,is an empathetic listener and can also simply and clearly communicate sophisticated concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer first approach, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to research and resolve novel scenarios.
  • Thrives in an environment where you can create, build, learn and iterate to grow and improve. 
  • Understanding of the impact of changes  across multiple programs and teams 
  • Willingness to dive-in and assist with people team projects that may be outside of one's comfort zone (e.g., benefits open enrollment or year-end payroll process auditing).
  • 3 or more years of direct experience with compensation, HRIS/systems, reporting, or another relevant business function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalent knowledge or working experience complementary to this role.
