About the Role

As a key member of the OpenMarket Product Management team, you will act as a visionary for how OpenMarket should build out its global messaging capabilities and differentiate its offer from the competition. You are the driving force behind growing OpenMarket’s messaging capabilities globally, crafting a vision for the product, understanding competitors, defining market and customer requirements, capabilities and service performance, pricing strategy and tools, sales support, and go-to-market plan.

OpenMarket delivers mobile engagement solutions around the world– and you will have a strategic role in delivering the global messaging connectivity that serves these organizations and differentiates OpenMarket from the rest.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop a comprehensive product plan to support the product vision by incorporating customer requirements, defining the competitive arena, and establishing the objectives, strategies, and actions required to achieve business goals.
  • Build a pricing strategy, processes and supporting tools to efficiently support departments and improve revenues and ensure revenue assurance.
  • Prioritize and own the scope of each product release to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget, while balancing the needs of various departments.
  • Coordinate the service launch across all organizations and drive the development of product documentation and education of all internal and external partners.
  • Develop relationships with strategic customers and technology partners to continually understand and develop market requirements and competitive risks and opportunities.
  • Work cross collaboratively to develop a Global Country Resource, to include country-specific regulatory guidelines and standard methodologies.
  • Own the customer experience for the global messaging product – from pre-sales, to onboarding to ongoing support.
  • Maintain Global SMS product contracts and partner with legal on updates, SLAs and other related items.

 

What to Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience as a Product Manager delivering software, SaaS, mobile services and/or high-tech products.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading diverse, global teams.
  • Knowledge of global and supplier carriers and experience with mobile messaging, preferably at a global SMS aggregator or mobile operator.
  • Knowledge of multi and cross channel enablement of SaaS platform solution technical requirements.
  • Experience leading, informing and directing engineering leaders and partners on cloud, messaging and API architecture and strategies.
  • Background in expanding service reach and connectivity to new countries or regions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in carrier class networking messaging protocols, systems and requirements.
  • Experience with emerging mobile messaging services and business models.
  • Experience with platform infrastructure requirements including cloud-based enablement and microservices.

Education/Training

BA/BS, Masters preferred
