About the Role:
The Unwanted Activity Team is responsible for keeping bad actors out of our system, while still providing exceptional customer experiences for our customers and adhering to regulatory requirements. We do this through a combination of machine learning, product features, and sound business decisions grounded in data. We are a multi-disciplinary team made up of program managers, engineers, product managers, analysts, and data scientists.
We are looking for an exceptional analyst to partner with our product and operations teams to accelerate and drive our test and learn cycle, develop a deeper understanding of bad actors, design and implement metrics that build awareness of progress and opportunities for improvement, and optimize the business logic underpinning our existing experiences.
In this role, you'll be partnering with PMs and Developers to accelerate our testing roadmap by developing product strategy, designing experiments, and reading tests of new features and experiences. Additionally, you will use data to improve our response to emerging suspicious activity, including building new heuristics and models that can identify risky behavior. You will use statistical reasoning to develop metrics and measure program performance. Finally, you'll analyze the business logic underpinning our existing experiences and test changes to optimize the system and strengthen our Anti-Money Laundering program.
You Will:
- Deliver written business analysis with clear reasoning and actionable conclusions
- Use data to make excellent business decisions in an autonomous manner
- Read A/B product tests using Bayesian frameworks
- Make effective tradeoffs between regulatory risk, customer experience, and protection of the general public
- Partner with stakeholders to build a prioritization framework that captures relevant tradeoffs for the team including setting goals and evaluating potential opportunities.
- Report to the Director of the Fraud Program
You Have:
- 2+ years experience in an analytics role
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, business, economics, or other quantitative field.
- Experience with Excel (can effectively build models) and SQL, exposure to Python and Statistical Analysis a bonus
- Ability to distill a business problem from stakeholder conversations, develop hypotheses, identify an analytical framework, execute an experiment or analysis from existing data, and write a clear and concise recommendation.
- You are creative, and think of solutions in a constrained environment. You would need to have a high degree of ownership.
Our Benefits
- Unlimited paid time off
- Health, dental, and vision benefits + 401k plan with company matching
- Company contributions to your HSA or FSA plan, if you choose one
- Continuing education and corridor travel benefits
