About the position

As we continue to grow rapidly, the processes we’re building and software solutions we’re leveraging continues to expand. Our business analysts are experts in understanding and streamlining these processes and solutions. As a Business Analyst at Assurance, you’ll be working collaboratively with our product managers to drive large software implementations and maintain existing applications and infrastructure. Alongside our software engineers you’ll develop and implement application features and bug fixes. Most importantly, you’ll be a crucial lifeline to our valuable users, enabling them to use our software most effectively.

 

The right candidate will be highly analytical and will enjoy exploring creative approaches that result in the best possible return on investment. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

  • Experience documenting business software requirements by studying business functions, gathering information from users, and evaluating output.
  • Ability to develop and maintain software application documentation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain alerts for the business.
  • Experience testing software implementations, features, and bug fixes.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Strong overall software skills, excellent customer service/interaction skills and superior organizational skills.

The following additional knowledge and experience is highly desired:

  • One to three years of experience working with business software and its users
  • Basic understanding of programming
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with team members across organizations and levels of seniority
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, planning and organizational skills
