Job Description

Position summary:

Are you an excellent problem solver who is passionate about product and formulating the strategy for growth? The Product Strategy Manager is the right fit for you! The Product Strategy Manager working in the BIG-IP ADC product group is responsible for understanding how our customers interact, and want to interact with F5 across their journey, and for translating that information into irrefutable business insights. Reporting to the GM of BIG-IP, the Product Strategy Manager will partner closely with other analytic teams across the organization including marketing, sales, service and product teams to develop a comprehensive data understanding of our customers and share data insights with business partners. If you have background in management consulting, investment banking or business strategy and want to bring that to an operational role in a product organization, we would love to speak with you about this role!

This position will:

  • Define business/product vision and execution strategy
  • Using an iterative and practical approach for analytical problem solving, build operational dashboards that provide bold insights into client behavior and KPIs for business outcomes
  • Propose and implement business metrics for senior management reviews and work with analysts and IT to design and develop data solutions to support business growth
  • Collaborates with business partners in acting on complex, multi-source data to explore, generate and test business assumptions using customer back data
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data with a focus on actionable insights
  • Formulate P&L implications of strategic choice and define how to position businesses for growth

Primary responsibilities:

Partner with Business leaders and Executives with the goal of providing the clarity to make decisions and gain insights through data analysis and visualization

Own creation and delivery Dashboards.

Interpret data and set appropriate measurement strategy

Gather requirements, run through iterations of work with the customers to understand their needs, and how to best deliver solutions, followed by design, deployment and on-going enhancements

Work closely with IT, Marketing, Sales Finance, to align metrics and reporting

Maintain courteous and professional working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

Required Skills Experience and Qualifications:

Strategy background (2+ years of experience in top tier management consulting or investment banking)

Strong analytical abilities and experience with reporting and data analysis

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to articulate data analysis simply

Ability to work independently in a multifaceted fast paced environment, with minimal direction

Technology industry background preferred
