The Role:
Yapta is growing quickly, and as such we need an enthusiastic, high energy individual to contribute to the success of our Product team. Specifically, we are looking for an experienced Program Manager to coordinate between multiple projects across the Product team, ensuring quality, consistency and team alignment. The Program Manager’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate, communicate, and manage program milestones and deliverables. In addition, the Program Manager will provide structure and guidance to multiple Product teams in ways that promote Yapta’s culture and drives the success of our projects. 

The ideal candidate will be efficient at working across teams and effective at managing communication styles among the various teams. The Program Manager will be responsible for identifying and implementing standard processes, tactics and tools to create efficiencies across teams and support the Product Mangers in delivering key strategic features.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall high-level status and communication across all Product projects/pillars to internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as the central point of contact with Yapta’s strategic partners
  • Provide alignment and transparency on the Product pillar roadmap; ensuring cross team and cross company impacts are clear and communicated
  • Identify and manage cross-project dependencies
  • Define risks and ensure issues are driven to resolution
  • Establish Product processes and templates and ensure consistent usage across the teams
  • Ensure all appropriate project deliverables are in place, from the business case through the final release notes
  • Ensure the measurement of the delivered value/revenue and cost of the project against the original business case
  • Work with Product Marketing to ensure high level documentation and communication of key product features across all organizations at Yapta
  • Manage product documentation, including release notes; ensuring all Product Managers provide input within each of their areas and work with Product Marketing for external, customer and partner facing release notes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ proven experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager or other similar position
  • Experience in agile software development initiatives including project planning, issue and risk identification and management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communication of overall project status
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a program management process in a growing organization; focusing on light processes that are stage appropriate
  • Strong cross-team communication
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external partners
  • Remains neutral communicator and arbiter while maintaining a sense of humor
  • Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Experience working with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence etc.) a plus

This position is based in Pioneer Square in Downtown Seattle. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
