The Consumer Marketing product team builds and continually innovates a best-in-class integrated marketing platform that drives consumer growth and lifetime value through advanced targeting, machine learning optimization, scalable promotions, and powerful internal tools. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will be responsible for measuring, interpreting, and leveraging data to influence both strategic and operational decisions.
You will bring a strategic mindset and analytical horsepower to drive business value from Groupon’s product and engineering investments. You will own product reporting and analysis, ensuring the data and metrics we rely on are complete and accurate. How you’ll spend your day:
Partner and collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable lift via product insights, data analysis, and experimentation
Influence stakeholders and product decision-making through concise presentations of data that explain how Groupon customers interact with Consumer Marketing products
Review product performance, advising on areas of opportunity, and analyzing A/B testing and other experimental data to measure the impact of new features
Quantify the value / size of new opportunities to inform and prioritize product roadmaps
Perform deep data analyses against large data sets to identify, synthesize, and present actionable insights and opportunities that aid near term and long term decision-making
Create dashboards, reports, and data tables to measure product/business performance, highlight areas of opportunity, and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of new features
We’re excited about you if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, or related quantitative field with 5+ years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
Demonstrated ability to creatively, analytically problem solve and use excellent qualitative skills to deliver concise, logical recommendations and drive cross-functional business decisions
Strong ownership mindset with a willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and Tableau; experience with Hadoop a plus
Hands-on experience with A/B experimentation design and evaluation
E-commerce background preferred
An understanding of data warehousing concepts and ability to build and work with data from different sources efficiently
An understanding of machine learning/applied math topics, such as probability, statistics models, and optimization techniques, etc.
Self-starter, fast learner, adaptive to fast-paced working environment
