The Role

We’re looking for a curious and passionate Senior Product Analyst who is driven to unlock the story behind the data. An essential partner to Product at Outreach, you provide insights through exploratory analysis, experimentation, and in-depth research into the user journey to help understand what product features delight and engage our customers. Your skills include the technical ability to pull and stage data from multiple systems, the statistical chops to interpret data in a meaningful way, the business acumen to analyze that data to pull out key findings, and storytelling skills to communicate the results of your analysis in a way that business partners can consume and take action on.

The BI and Analytics team is on a mission to bring relevant data and insights to every person at Outreach while advancing the use of data and promoting an insight-centric culture. We are a centralized resource providing a suite of services to Outreach business functions including KPI definition, dashboards & reporting, ad hoc analysis, forecasting, self-serve analytics, predictive models and data pipeline building and management.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Drive the strategy, design, and implementation of user engagement analytics solutions within Outreach’s product
  • Influence change by presenting product and customer behavior insights to product management and senior leadership around the organization
  • Consult on A/B test design and success metrics for product features, and provide guidance to product management on how to interpret results
  • Lead deep-dive analysis that will frame product strategy and product roadmap decisions
  • Foster data-centric, continuous learning culture with your passion for telling stories with data, 
  • Lead conversations around definition and governance of KPIs for Outreach
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing dashboards and their underlying data sets
  • Confidently present outcome of analysis and recommendations to executives and team leaders
  • Provide predictive forecasting of future performance, using sound statistical models
  • Grow our best practices around reporting quality, data hygiene, and data governance
  • Provide leadership and mentoring within the analytics community at Outreach

Required Qualifications

  • 8 + years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Marketing Analyst or related
  • 3+ years of analytics experience, preferably within product/user engagement
  • BS degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience doing user engagement pathing and optimization analysis within a SaaS or E-commerce product
  • Extensive experience in designing and managing A/B tests within a product environment
  • Demonstrated examples of surfacing key insights and/or predictive forecasting models that subsequently drove business changes with measurable lift in performance
  • Experience with enabling self-serve analytics and coaching stakeholders on data literacy fundamentals
  • Fluency in common statistical analysis methods
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with multiple reporting suites, such as Domo, PowerBI or Tableau
  • Consummate storyteller; experience translating findings into compelling recommendations, polished deliverables, and actionable programs
  • Strong business acumen with depth to relate commercial business strategy to analytics asks
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to audiences from staff to senior executive level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering prescriptive and predictive analysis
  • Experience writing SAS, R or Python for data analytics
  • Prior experience with Mixpanel, Heap Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Familiarity with data warehousing architecture and processes
