We're looking for a senior manager to lead content design. You will lead the end-to-end customer experience for content, from first transfer to repeat usage to digital support and retention. You take a content-first approach and know how words, images, and UI elements work together in a story arc that meets our customers where they are and progresses them from need to resolution. In doing so, you enable Remitly to build cohesive, customer-centric products at scale. You will report to the global VP of Design.
You Will:
- Develop a highly talented existing team of content designers, creating a place of career growth; foster inclusion and belonging; and coach on prioritization, managing dependencies, and defining requirements.
- Shape the vision for content, especially by applying systems-thinking to create consistent product narratives across various platforms, touchpoints, and customer types.
- Enable scale by managing the creation of templates, guides, and other tools.
- Build healthy, effective collaborations with Product Management, Product Design, Research, Brand Strategy, Marketing, Engineering, and Localization teams.
- Drive collection and synthesis of customer data to inform decisions.
- Own content-first UX best practices and processes for the Remitly design team.
- Educate stakeholders on the importance of content design to drive customer and business outcomes.
You Have:
- At least seven years of experience leading content design
- At least five years of experience managing a diverse team
- Cross-cultural fluency and international experience in content design (e.g., internationalization, translation, other forms of localization, diverse customer bases)
- Proven success designing world-class mobile experiences (both native apps and responsive in-browser designs)
- Demonstrated strength in securing outcomes via influence alone
- An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates expertise and leadership in customer-focused product and content design solutions
- Experience in accessibility design and implementing accessibility requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $146,000 - $182,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
