Content Safety Manager
Role Description
As the Content Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in keeping Dropbox and its users safe from harmful content. You will be responsible for leading the team of content reviewers who implement our Acceptable Use Policy across the platform to prevent abuse of our services. You’ll work closely with team members and our cross-functional partners to optimize our processes and workflows. You will become an expert in our processes and policies and help assist in setting strategic goals and objectives for the team. We are a small but highly impactful team where you will have the opportunity to create real, substantive results.
Responsibilities
- Manage the team of content safety analysts with a high degree of empathetic leadership.
- Become an expert in Dropbox’s Acceptable Use Policy, and implement it across our services to mitigate abuse.
- Serve as an escalation point for the content reviewers, identify trends and provide training to the team.
- Review, innovate on, and implement policies and practices that cover a wide variety of abuse content and complex workflows.
- Identify and propose tooling and workflow improvements to make our team more agile and effective and lead scaling and optimization initiatives that drive operational excellence.
- Partner with relevant cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in content moderation.
Requirements
- Management experience with 8+ years of work experience in operations/support operations, adjudication, or high-volume case management, preferably relating to content moderation or other anti-abuse work.
- Experience identifying opportunities to enhance processes and policies, providing recommendations to improve performance, and working with relevant stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience driving cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to deliver within established deadlines and make important decisions under pressure.
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including working with large data sets (i.e., Google Sheets, etc.)
- Experience or familiarity with technical anti-abuse tooling.
