Role Description 

We’re looking for an accomplished editorial content strategist to help scale our thought leadership program. This role will play a key part in developing, editing, and writing engaging narratives that articulate the Dropbox point of view on work with a special emphasis on our customers. You’ll serve as a strategic partner in scaling the distribution of content and measuring its impact on brand perception. You’ll also collaborate closely with departments across the company, including Marketing, Communications, and Brand Studio to tell the Dropbox story. 

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to find engaging, creative ways to the tell our customer’s stories
  • Write and edit long-form stories for Work in Progress, Dropbox’s editorial blog
  • Conceptualize and execute content and adjacent programs that bring our story to life
  • Cultivate the writing and reporting skills of our content strategists and contributors
  • Enlist a diverse network of contributors
  • Help devise and implement strategies for distributing content and measuring results

Requirements 

  • 8-12+ years experience in media or editorial content strategy for a brand with a stellar portfolio of engaging long-form narratives and a track record of:
  • Writing and editing human interest stories that are thoughtful, inspiring, and engaging
  • Creative, journalistic, and collaborative thinking; you can identify a smart angle for a story, report it out with the right sources, and also work cross-functionally to develop interesting content that supports company priorities
  • Helping scale impactful storytelling programs and finding strategic ways to measure success
  • A deep curiosity for technology and how it impacts the way we live, communicate, and work

In order to be successful in our Virtual First environment we needed to make changes that would allow employees to have more control over both where and how they work.
