Blue Nile is looking for a passionate and talented Special Orders Management Specialist to join our Merchandising Team to grow Blue Nile’s ever expanding custom setting and jewelry services. The Special Orders Specialist will actively communicate with both internal teams and external suppliers to manage our day-to-day special order and custom design business needs. This individual must be ambitious, enthusiastic & customer obsessed and have an understanding of custom jewelry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the special order process from start to finish, acting as a key point person for our customers, vendors, and internal Customer Service and Fulfillment teams
- Manage vendor product quality adherence to BN standards and endure on-time delivery metrics
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely confirmation and delivery
- Create product SKU’s and offers for special orders
- Resolve issues or delays with orders and communicate to appropriate teams
- Manage communication ‘queue’ for product and order issues
- Be the liaison between the Customer Service team and Merchandising team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks as needed
- Creative problem solver
