Analytics Web Developer
The Analytics Web Developer is responsible for engineering, design, implementation and maintenance of web analytics for customer facing sites and providing solid, accurate and real-time data to multiple stakeholders. Leveraging accepted best practices and latest tech concepts to test, enhance and improve mode marketing analytics practices. Collaborate with other departments to clarify, interpret and implement creative analytics solutions that accurately, consistently and robustly support the overall business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee the implementation of product & marketing tagging strategies using Google Tag Manager
* Write custom tagging and analytics solutions using Javascript for multiple sites in a Google 360 platform
* Set and enforce code, event naming and data standards in the analytics systems
* Create and provide training to developers & engineers on GTM and GA implementation
* Review and provide quality assurance feedback to developers & engineers in analytic deployments
* Build and optimize the systems that allow product, technology and marketing teams to perform their work
* Ensures data is properly received, transformed, stored and made accessible to other users
* Advise and consult with designers for optimal solutions involving implementation of complex web projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Extensive knowledge in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager tools
* Experience writing / designing tag specifications (Google Analytics Premium or 360 is highest priority)
* Experience implementing tags in a tag manager and enacting design and process improvements
* Deep knowledge of content analytics tools
* Fluency in the language and common approaches used by digital marketing and web analyst professionals, including ecommerce
* Minimum of 3-5 years relevant and/or management experience in this field
* Significant professional web development experience user server-side and client-side web programming in a commercial environment
* Experience developing for business-to-business and corporate marketing programs
* Ability to work independently, while keeping management informed
* Adaptive, flexible and able to respond to a dynamic environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Familiar with agile methodologies and practices
* Experience using QA tracking tools and version control software is desired
* Solid understanding of website structure and the relationship between content, user interface and technologies
